GAN11 M Pro

The Gan 356 M is probably 3.5 out of 5 stars, but I rounded down because I really don’t like the new GES tension system Gan is going with in all the majority of their new cubes. It only allows two tension settings, and for most of their cubes that use these new GES nuts, that’s all the adjustment you can do because they don’t include extra GES nuts that have stronger springs. This is even true for their highest price cube, the Gan 356i smartcube. It has an even more primitive GES nut, but still only has two tension settings, AND it frequently rotates on its own to the remove or zero setting, so the whole cube falls apart when solving. Anyway, enough about the GES system, but I just wanted to cite that as the primary reason for the mediocre rating.The cube as a whole (disregarding the lousy GES nuts) is very good, but it should be for a $35 cube. Ironically, this is considered to be Gan’s “budget” cube model, but at $35 that puts it at the flagship price point for a lot of other cube brands like Moyu, etc. It has a matte finish similar to the Gan 356 XS that “shines up” a little over time with solving it. I don’t mind the matte finish, but a lot of people feel it provides less grip than the glossy finish of previous Gan models. Turning is fairly smooth. Corner cutting is mediocre, which is a bit of surprise for a Gan cube. The problem is that you can’t really adjust it (because of the new GES) to improve the corner cutting. Magnet strength is medium-strong. Gan uses a combination of their white (strongest) magnets and yellow (medium) magnets in this cube. The magnets are not replaceable/adjustable, so that’s simply what you get. Personally, I wish they had used all white (strongest) magnets, but that’s just my preference.In summary, I like this cube, but I don’t love it (I usually love Gan cubes). I actually like the Gan 356 R or RS (new version of the R) much better, but you will have to add magnets to those yourself. I have done this with both 356 R and 356 RS, and they’re both much better performing cubes than the 356 M.

I really liked that this cube did not have stickers on it and how smooth it works.

This is my 3rd speedcube. The difference between this and my cyclone boys magnetic stickerless is insane. It weighs practically nothing and turns like butter once you figure out what settings you like. It does have a weird finish that makes the cube pretty slippery when your hands gets sweaty but that went away after a few hundred solves. I have been cubing for a little over a year, just a few days ago I absolutely shattered my PB of 0:47.98 with the GAN cube. My new PB is 0:36.40. I would recommend this cube to any intermediate or advanced cuber. I would not recommend it for beginners strictly because of the price.

This is my son’s first magnetic cube and he absolutely loves it. He says it’s the smoothest of all his cubes. You can adjust the tension to however you like. Comes with a clear plastic box, bag, and the plastic tensioner. You don’t need a tool to adjust tension you can adjust by hand.

It is really good it was smooth the magnets weren’t too strong but also wasn’t weak I recommend it to anyone that wanted to try speedcubing also its customization abilities are good

I disliked that on my cheep cube it never bursts when i turn it fast or slow and on this cube when i turn it fast or slow it always bursts

Received the wrong cube in the right packing. Not sure which model was sent, but it was a stickered version, which also seemed used(although it was packed as if it was new). Rather disappointing.

We had two of these and they each broke within 2 months. My son takes really good care of his Gan cubes and they still don’t last. Both times he was using it when multiple pieces popped off so it couldn’t be reassembled. Would not recommend.

My 12 year old son bought this with his allowance. He loved it at first. It moved quickly and so smooth until it broke a week or two into receiving it. You can put it back together but it falls apart immediately upon moving the blocks to try and solve it.

The item was not as mention, it said that the cube is without sticker but infact its with stickers. My chiled was very disapoitning.

Love the cube love the corner cutting and how smooth it is out the box

It’s a good smooth cube but it’s too expensive. Get the Gan x v2 it’s only $5 more and it’s better because you can adjust the magnets and you will have more tensioning settings.

This is the best cube in my collection it has fast turning, good corner cutting and a great feel to it. I have lowered my personal best by about 30 seconds so far. 19/10

how this is the stuff! very fast cube. stickerless, so doesn’t feel icky on your fingers. snaps into place after rotating it 60 degrees so you can really tailor your motions to cut down time.and you dont’ need to be a pro for this, comes with a tutorial for beginners, like me, to learn how to solve cubes. spent a weekend leaning these classic party trick. so glad i did. definitely not a waste of time. nope.

This is coming from a 13 year old but in my opinon this is an amazing cube. It’s so smooth my fingers are definitely faster with it.

It is really good for people who are starting to get into speed cubing and need a cube that is not too expensive but also not bad
