GAN12 Maglev

This rating is for GAN 12 Maglev UV Coated, 3×3 : I have been crazy for twisty puzzles since i saw my first rubick’s cube. We were poor so my first was a generic 3×3 in the early 80’s. It was my fidget spinner b4 there were fidget spinners. I will never be a speed cuber so it is odd for me to have spent so much on this. BUT i love it. Right out of the box. The feel of the uv coated style is very smoothly satisfying and also the sound of it is cool. No more intermittent spring squeeks. Turning it is also very nice with hardly any binding. I like that it is a tad heavier than some others. It makes me feel more in control to have the extra weight. It’s just a fun sensory journey to solve it. I wish Gan made a 7×7 like it.

This thing is so far beyond what is needed and thats sorta why I bought it. Fairly stable, maybe a little bit of adjusting to do before you stop overshooting though. Everything seems to twist a little furthe than I expect. In all honesty my 356 M is still my favorite, but the 12 is fun if you want to spend a little extra. I bought the 12 anticipating the smart core that is coming out soon, hopefully that makes it worth the extra bucks.

Overall this is a great item, my son took time to let me compare against his less expensive versions. I do see a difference and he was very excited. I know the price was competitive, but took off a small point on value only because its hard for me to get my head around paying this much for a cube. My kiddo was thrilled tho, there is great value to me in that!

the only annoying thing about it is that it is kind of loud

I returned it because it looked used and compared to my $15 cube, it feels, sounds and even smells like cheap cardboard. I genuinely felt it could easily break if I dropped it from a few inches above the ground. You can see some of the inside of the cube because the plastic is so thin if you look at it at a certain angle. For me this cube was not worth its price at all..

It is a great product, turn very smoothly. Recommend it.

Very nice cube the maglev fell really great to turn and handle it turn extremely well, maybe sometimes there is little corners cut probleme but evens zith that it’s almost perfect.
Also the delivery was very fast, 5 day to France

And also it’s pretty expensive but I think for people that really like cubing they are not gonna regret it at all

We ordered this new cube for my son first tournament. Just got it and opened. Then we found this cube looks like someone used it with dirty hands. So disappointed. We want return.

I have tried 3 other 3×3 cubes than this one, but this is absolutely the most fluid and smooth of all. It doesn’t matter how much you grease the others. This one is smooth as butter, even without any re-greasing. It’s worth the extra cost if you are looking for a really low resistance cube.

Nephew loved it, but dropped it and it broke in first week of use. Plastic piece cracked off so couldn’t be reassembled. Very expensive to be so cheaply made. Lost money (he threw it away) & disappointed nephew.
